SERVICES

This is a list of services we offer in all of our clinics. for more information on any of these services and/or procedures please ask your doctor or assistant at your next visit!

Teeth Cleanings

A polisher is used to clean the teeth using a fun flavored toothpaste. We will also check for any hardened plaque (also known as tartar) and remove it with a curved instrument to prevent tooth decay from tartar build-up. Finally, a flavored fluoride varnish treatment may be used to help re-mineralize and protect the teeth.

Preventative Treatments

Preventative dental care involves a combination of practices, habits, and activities like brushing your teeth, flossing, eating healthy food and visiting your dentist for regular checkups and cleanings. Preventative Treatment includes services such as: dental sealants, teeth cleanings, fluoride treatments, and radiographs.

Restorative Treatments

The objectives of restorative treatment are to repair or limit the damage from caries, protect and preserve the tooth structure, reestablish adequate function, restore esthetics (where applicable), and provide ease in maintaining good oral hygiene. Restorative Treatment includes services such as: Composite Fillings, Pulpotomy, Extractions, Space Maintainers, & Pediatric Dental Crowns.

Special Needs Dental Care

Providing both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care to individuals with special health care needs is an integral part of the specialty of pediatric dentistry. A pediatric dentist has at least two additional years of training beyond dental school. The additional training focuses on management and treatment of a child's developing teeth, child behavior, physical growth and development, and the special needs of children's dentistry. Lastly, we want to make your child feel at ease, so communication on triggers, needs, and anything that your child may need, is greatly appreciated, and we would be happy to accommodate!

Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry can be used for both tooth and soft tissue related procedures. With the use of the laser, we are able to avoid having to get your child numb for small restorations only. Larger restorations are NOT able to be completed by use of the laser. Ultimately, our restorative approach is conservative, and we want to do everything we can to keep your child comfortable.

Dental Emergencies

PLEASE SEE OUR EMERGENCY SERVICES TAB - We are able to provide emergency care for your child at all of our locations. We always have a doctor on call ready to assist your needs in case of a dental emergency.

Happy Visits

The whole point of a Happy Visit is to introduce your child to dentistry in a safe, fun way. We work hard to match the visit to your child’s level of interest, personality, and developmental level. We let each child take the lead, building a positive and successful experience that will make the child eager to return. Since we tailor each Happy Visit to the individual child, there is no standard guide to what to expect. Particularly nervous or shy children may simply meet the staff and take a quick peek around the office. Braver kids will learn some basics of oral health in a fun way that involves props, and perhaps take a ride in the dental chair and handle some of our equipment.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide produces a relaxing effect without causing the child to fall asleep and also serves as a mild analgesic (pain reducer). It is also one of the least invasive sedation methods that we use. Nitrous oxide can be titrated easily to adjust the amount necessary for your child's comfort and because it wears off so quickly, the residual effects are low.

General Anesthesia

These cases are performed off-site at either a hospital or surgery center where an anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist can safely administer this type of sedation so the dentist can focus on performing the procedure. The effect of general anesthesia is that the child will sleep peacefully, unable to disrupt the operation or feel any pain. Intubation is necessary for this type of sedation, and the child also requires an intravenous (IV) to have it administered. (More detailed information regarding this process/procedure will be provided to you during a General Anesthesia (GA) consultation in-office.)
