Restorative Treatment

The objectives of restorative treatment are to repair or limit the damage from caries, protect and preserve the tooth structure, reestablish adequate function, restore esthetics (where applicable), and provide ease in maintaining good oral hygiene. Restorative Treatment includes services such as: Composite Fillings, Pulpotomy, Extractions, Space Maintainers, & Pediatric Dental Crowns.

Restorative dentistry is the prevention and treatment of diseases of the teeth in order to restore or bring them back to their best health. Restorative dentistry also includes the repair or replacement of damaged or defective teeth. Baby teeth may be temporary, but they serve a significant role. They hold spaces for the permanent teeth behind them, allowing them to erupt correctly. Performing restorative treatments on baby teeth often allows the dentist to save them. If the tooth cannot be saved, a space maintainer can be used to keep the spot it once held from closing in. Procedures that can be considered restorative dentistry include:
